So last week i was taking a commuter rail ride into boston from framingham (which was awesome, if you just wanna chill and glide through Massachusetts while blasting some music, take the commuter rail) and i found this guy J Cole on my iPod. I was shocked to find i had his whole mixtape, so i decided to give him a listen. It was pretty sick, and today one of my boys made his away about J Cole, and i saw an article about him on google too. I took these all as signs of his soon fame so i decided that i would put some of his stuff on my blog to showcase him, and have (dated) proof that i was listening to him before you were. The Boot
I've always loved sneakers, i can remember days when everyone loved the air force one, I remember going to footlocker and having them tell me "I'm sorry we're all sold out of white air forces" , such innocent times, flash to now where you can find air forces everywhere and no one wants them, Vans are slowly on the decline and everyone is in love with Pradas and Guccis. While now i humbly wear my converses day in day out i still do have a love for sneakers. However i feel that the age of sneakerdom is over, and the boot shall take its place. Now when most people think of boots they think of the Timberland 6-Inch that everyone pulls out in the winter, but i've discovered that theres a world beyond the 6-inch timberland, a world filled with straps and zippers and dare i say knee-highs. While I have not committed myself to the boot yet, and my sneakers fufill my day to day, I see myself in the near future purchasing these:
The Red Wing 875s. These have drawn me in with both their beauty, and they're history as one of the iconic American boots. Plus they run for about 191 dollars, which at first sounds like a lot but when considering the fact that a majority of quality boots run for two to five times more than that, its damn near a bargain.
Now one day soon, i must get a job to support myself as a young man, but my first paycheck is going straight to these.

Joke im working on
Here's a joke Ive been working on:
I had a dream last night where i hooked up with a girl i had a crush on when i was like 13, which was pretty cool cuz in my head i was thinkin "wow finally i got this girl" but i havent seen her since i was 13, so i have no idea what she looks like now, so in my dream she was still 13 but i was 20...so umm...i woke up kind of upset the dream was over but more upset that i was mad at the fact i couldnt keep making out with a 13 year old girl.
Thats all i got so far. Its gonna take me a little while to retool it and make it less creepy, but i think its funny cuz i got a small bit on pedophilia (the ill kind with the hot female teachers and the lucky ass 16 year old boys). I just thought id share the thought process. Cant have my own blog and just post other peoples shit ya kno?

i love how every entry starts with me saying, "i havent updated in a while, but im gonna start going hard again soon" and i never do. In fact i probably wont look at this blog again for another 3 months. But lets not worry about the future and lets focus on the present.
So i got a twitter, and honestly its not that awesome. I mean its fun every so often when you tweet then ur friend replies to ur tweet (e.g. Tawandaround AYE, Ohyeathatsefe@Tawandaround OKAY), but after a while u start to realize no one really cares about what you have to say that much. I mean im sure as soon as the empire known as facebook finally burns down to the ground and people run under the protective network of twitter to satisfy their need of connection with people they like but not enough to go out and see twitter will then be pretty cool but now its still bleh. I actually wrote a joke about twitter that i tried out at a comedy club which kind of worked, thats a trend i can totally see coming in the near future. Jokes about twitter, every open mic and amateur showcase will have at least 10 jokes about twitter a night in the next 6 months.
Speaking of trends:
tank tops are pretty poppin ive noticed. Its a coincidence that this ones tie dye but still just the regular tank is sick for the hot days of summer. I tried one on at american apparel but the air wasnt right and i felt way too exposed, but i know by Independence day ill definitely be bearing arms. Yea i made the pun. Dont like it? Fight me.
Well thats all i really have to say for now. I havent seen that much real amazing shit lately but im sure ill come across something really cool to show you 6 people who read this.
